You know, we spend a lot of time on here looking at the oddities and wonders of the past, and even specifically of the 80s, but that sort of thinking is not all too realistic or representative of the time period and how things really were. Not to mention that it somewhat pains the people of that time as some of sort of cohort of characters on a television show.

When in fact they were simply people, like you and us, living their daily lives with many of the same wants and needs of us modern day hoomans. Sure they did not shop on Temu and did not really know what the internet was going to be, but we are not all that different when it comes down to it.   • You know, it is funny, looking back and seeing just how similar things were. How little has changed in terms of broad strokes, yet how much has changed in terms of everything. To think that if we went back to this moment and tried to check out our groceries by paying with our watch, people would lose their minds.
